Getting A Dental Bridge For A Missing Tooth

Hi, my name is Robin Pearson and when I had to have a tooth pulled, I was just devastated. I didn't want to have a gap in my mouth so I asked my dentist what he could do. My dentist said there were a couple of options regarding replacing a tooth that's missing. The option that interested me was a dental bridge. I went home and read all I could about dental bridges so I would completely understand how they work to fill in the missing space in my mouth. Since I am very pleased with my dental bridge, I wanted to share this information with other people who are also considering this option for a missing tooth.

Top Reasons To Get Veneers

Most people want a beautiful smile, but a lot of people dislike the smile that they have. Whether you have a gap in your smile, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, or misshapen teeth, veneers may be the perfect solution. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are applied over your natural teeth to create a gorgeous smile. There are many reasons to consider veneers, such as:

Natural Look

Veneers are designed to look just like natural teeth, so after you get veneers, it will just look like you were born with an amazing smile. Porcelain veneers are incredibly thin and feel just like natural teeth. They are permanently bonded to your real teeth, so they will last for many years.

Alternative to Braces

Most people think that if they have severely crooked teeth, their only option to straighten them is wearing braces for several years. If you don't want to wait years for a straight smile, veneers may be the answer. No matter how crooked your natural teeth are, your dentist can use veneers to create a perfectly straight smile in just a few office visits.

Stain Resistant

Porcelain veneers are stain resistant, so after your veneers are applied, you can rest assured that they will remain bright and white. You can enjoy things like coffee, red wine, tomato sauce, and other staining foods and drinks without having to worry that your new smile will become stained or lose its luster.

Improved Self-Confidence

It is not uncommon for people who have problems with their smile to feel embarrassed about the condition of their teeth. This can lead to a lack of self-confidence, and a person may avoid smiling in photos or around others. If you choose to get veneers, doing so can instantly improve your self-confidence and make you feel better about your appearance.

Non-Irritating

Porcelain veneers do not irritate the gums, so you don't have to worry about discomfort. All veneers are custom made, so they will be the perfect fit for your mouth. After your veneers are bonded to your natural teeth, you will most likely not even feel them.

Protect Teeth

Veneers can serve as a protective barrier to the teeth that they are covering. When you have veneers applied to your front teeth, your natural teeth will be less susceptible to decay or damage. Porcelain veneers may be very thin, but they are also very strong.
