Depending on college, you could save up to 50 percent on the cost of dental care by going this route.
Be aware, though, that you will be treated by student dentists. Although the work is typically overseen by a licensed dentist, the procedure may take longer than expected or the quality may not be as top notch as if you were to go to an experienced oral surgeon. Additionally, if you have health problems (e.g., diabetes, heart disease) that significantly increase your risk of complications or death, then the college may decline to provide you with care to avoid liability issues.
