Getting A Dental Bridge For A Missing Tooth

Hi, my name is Robin Pearson and when I had to have a tooth pulled, I was just devastated. I didn't want to have a gap in my mouth so I asked my dentist what he could do. My dentist said there were a couple of options regarding replacing a tooth that's missing. The option that interested me was a dental bridge. I went home and read all I could about dental bridges so I would completely understand how they work to fill in the missing space in my mouth. Since I am very pleased with my dental bridge, I wanted to share this information with other people who are also considering this option for a missing tooth.

The Best Adult Correction Options For Crooked Teeth

If your teeth aren't as straight as they could be, and you notice discoloration where they overlap, get to a cosmetic dentist. If you ignore the problems, you'll end up with more than just cosmetic problems. You could end up with problems that cost you more money over time than orthodontic treatment.

A cosmetic dentist is an orthodontic specialist that also specializes in treating oral health problems, and they can help you find the best solution to make your smile perfect and healthy. Here are a few options to consider.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a top choice for many adults because it's an unnoticeable way to get a straight smile. Instead of brackets or wires throughout the mouth and on the teeth, you wear clear plastic pieces that mold around the teeth. Gradually, your teeth shift to the shape of the mouthpiece.

The mouth pieces are changed regularly so your teeth continue to shift. These pieces are ideal because you remove them when you eat a meal or drink something sugary, and you don't have concerns with items getting stuck in the teeth.

The Invisalign system is more costly than regular braces, but that is the cost you have to pay for privacy. Not all orthodontic cases can be treated with Invisalign, so you'll need a consultation to find out more.

Clear Braces

If Invisalign isn't a possibility or you don't want to make the financial investment, clear braces are another great choice for adults. The clear braces have transparent ceramic brackets the cosmetic expert bonds to the teeth. Wires are then used to pull the teeth, by the brackets, in the direction they need to go. You can ask your cosmetic dentist for white wires, which make the braces even less noticeable.

If the cosmetic professional thinks you need to have power chains or rubber bands to move the teeth around, you can get these in clear or white as well.

When you fix teeth that aren't straight, it allows you to floss in between each tooth properly, and to brush the front and backs of the teeth as needed. The changes are going to make you feel more confident when you smile, and it's going to improve your oral health by reducing your risks of developing adult carries or getting gum disease because of decay.
